1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using AccounTech ("the Platform", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
AccounTech is an online accounting practice platform that provides interactive challenges, scored feedback, and educational content aligned with IAS/IFRS standards. The Platform is intended for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional accounting, financial, or legal advice.

- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our discretion.
- We reserve the right to change pricing at any time with at least 14 days' notice to active subscribers.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent any premium paywall, attempt-limit system, or access control.

6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including challenge questions, scoring algorithms, feedback text, design, and code — is the exclusive property of AccounTech or its licensors and is protected by copyright law.
You retain ownership of any original content you submit (such as profile information). By submitting content, you grant AccounTech a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate and improve the Platform.
7. Institutional Accounts
Universities and educational institutions may access the Platform under a separate institutional agreement. Institutions are responsible for ensuring that all members under their account comply with these Terms. Institutional admins have elevated permissions and accept additional responsibility for user management and data within their institution.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
Challenge feedback and scores are for educational purposes only and should not be relied upon for professional accounting work or examinations.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AccounTech and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 50.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimer, and limitation of liability sections) will survive.
